Our first medical school interview course
On Sunday 16 December 2018 the BSMA held its first Medical School Interview Course for sixth-form students applying to study medicine, following our Access to Medicine course earlier in the year.
Held at Bright Centres and led by Somali medical students from UCL, with our Youth Engagement Lead Abdulkadir Elmi, the day combined practice multiple mini interviews with a panel talk on life as a junior doctor. The talent in the room was remarkable.
Our aim is to run the course every year, so that students who have everything it takes to become great doctors get a fair chance in the application process.
