Our first COVID-19 webinar conference reaches over 150 people
On Sunday 12 April 2020, early in the pandemic, the BSMA held its first live webinar conference, ‘COVID-19 and the Somali Community’.
The first session covered the science of COVID-19 and the second its impact on the Somali community, with a panel of Somali doctors and health professionals answering questions from the audience. Registrations exceeded our expectations, and more than 150 people watched live across Zoom and YouTube.
The success of the day led to our second COVID-19 conference, held in Somali that December.
