ESMC and Somali National University launch a research lecture series

British Somali Medical Association, European Somali Medical Council and Somali National University

The European Somali Medical Council (ESMC) is partnering with Somali National University (SNU) in Mogadishu on a series of ten research lectures for final-year medical students as they begin their research projects. The BSMA is leading the series on behalf of the ESMC.

The webinars run on Zoom, in English, on Saturdays from 5pm to 6pm UK time, from 31 October 2026 to 9 January 2027. Each session is given by a clinician or academic from the Somali diaspora.

The series grew out of ESMC 2026 and the council's professional development programme with SNU.
